Harold E. Burchett, a World War II combat veteran, earned advanced degrees from Gordon-Conwell Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He pastored churches in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Ontario, and Virginia; also, he taught in the seminary program of Columbia International University. All his life he has been sought out widely as a personal counselor.

His books include People Helping People; How Every Christian Can Counsel (1979), Spiritual Life Studies: A Manual for Personal Edification (1980), Healing for the Church: New Life for You and Your Church (1989), Last Light: Staying True through the Darkness of Alzheimer’s (2002), and Bringing Christ Back (2006).

His latest book published in 2013 Bright Light: A Lifetime of Seeing God at Work tells the story of God visibly at work in and through the life of Harold Burchett. What he has seen and reports here are not so much flashy “signs and wonders” in the traditional sense but other ways that God has unmistakably shown up in Harold’s experience and ministry.
